IFRIC Projects

Below is a list of items currently being considered by the IFRIC, including items recently removed from the IFRIC agenda. Links to these items can also be found in the left hand menu.

The following draft Interpretations have been released for comment by the IFRIC:

• D24 Customer Contributions (period for comment closes 25 April 2008)
• D23 Distributions of Non-cash Assets to Owners (period for comment closes 25 April 2008)
• D21 Real Estate Sales (comment period now closed)

Tentative agenda decision

In July 2008, the IFRIC published one tentative agenda decision for comment. The IFRIC will consider any comments received at its September 2008 meeting.

The following projects have been completed by the issue of an Interpretation. The Website will be updated periodically and content related to each Interpretation will be removed approximately 12 months after its effective date.

• IFRIC 15 Agreements for the Construction of Real Estate
• IFRIC 14 IAS 19 – The Limit on a Defined Benefit Asset, Minimum Funding Requirements and their Interaction (issued in July 2007)
• IFRIC 13 Customer Loyalty Programmes (issued in June 2007)
• IFRIC 12 Service Concession Arrangements (issued in November 2006)
• IFRIC 11 IFRS 2 - Group and Treasury Share Transactions (issued in November 2006)

Recently discontinued projects (updated July 2008)

The following projects have been discontinued and taken off the IFRIC agenda:

• IAS 18 Revenue - Guidance on Identifying Agency Arrangements (proposed amendments to IAS 18 passed to the Board in September 2007)
• IAS 18 Revenue - Revenue Recognition in Respect of Initial Fees Received by a Fund Manager (removed from the agenda in January 2007)
• IAS 38 Intangible Assets - Advertising and Promotional costs (proposed amendments discussed by the Board in May 2007)
• IAS 39 Financial Instruments: Recognition and Measurement - Hedging Forecast Transactions with Derivatives of Shorter Maturity (removed from the agenda in July 2007)
• IAS 39 Financial Instruments: Recognition and Measurement - Hedging of Future Cash Flows by an Option (removed from the agenda in July 2007)
• IAS 39 Financial Instruments: Recognition and Measurement - Whether Inflation Risks Qualify as Separable Components for Hedging Purposes (removed from the agenda in July 2007)
• IAS 39 Financial Instruments: Recognition and Measurement – Paragraph AG 33 (d) (iii) and Scope of paragraph 11A
• IAS 41 Agriculture – Recognition and Measurement of Biological Assets and Agricultural Produce in Accordance with IAS 41 (proposed amendments discussed by the Board in February 2007)
• IFRS 2 Share-based Payment – Group cash-settled share-based payment transactions (proposed amendments discussed by the Board in October 2007)
• D9 Employee Benefit Plans with a Promised Return on Contribution or Notional Contributions (removed from the agenda in November 2006)
