Live web update on IAS 39 Financial Instruments replacement – 3 July and 6 July

29 June 2009

On 3 July 2009 and 6 July 2009 the IASB will be hosting the third in its series of live webcasts to keep interested parties up to date on progress of the project to replace IAS 39. This web update will focus on the recently published Request for Information on the feasibility of an expected loss model.

There are two webcasts scheduled for the convenience of participants in different time zones. The first webcast will be held at 10am (London time) Friday 3 July 2009 and the second one will be held at 3pm (London time) on Monday 6 July. The web presentation will be given by Sue Lloyd, Senior Technical Consultant and Martin Friedhoff, Project Manager. Both presentations will be followed by a Q&A session where registered participants can submit questions via the online facilities.

For more information about the project, please see the project webpage.

Register to participate

Each webcast, including the question and answer session, is expected to last around half an hour. There is no charge to attend the web presentation, but you need to register to participate. You can do this now or any time before the presentation. If you register now, the provider will automatically remind you of the presentation nearer the time.

For the convenience of participants in different time zones we have scheduled two slots for the webcast:

Friday, 3 July 2009 10am (London time)

Monday, 6 July 2009 3pm (London time)
