The Guide is set to become an essential reference source for those who require a detailed knowledge of IFRSs. It contains the complete and up-to-date consolidated text of all current IFRSs as approved for issue by the IASB at 1 July 2008, extensively annotated with thousands of cross-references to guide readers through the text of each IFRS and all the other IASB material that accompanies but does not form part of the IFRSs. Other annotations include the text of relevant IFRIC agenda decisions.

This unique publication is designed for preparers and users of IFRS financial statements and for those teaching or studying IFRSs.

26 August 2008 : We are pleased to remind you that the conference 'IFRS in Asia 2008: Driving the Capital Markets of Tomorrow' will be held in Beijing on 10 and 11 October 2008. This Chinese‑language/English‑language event (simultaneous translation) covers a wide range of IFRS topics including perspectives on IFRSs from regulators, standard setters, preparers and practitioners. It includes a number of break-out sessions including financial instruments, fair value measurement, financial statement presentation and the conceptual framework. 18 August 2008: Der 7. IFRS Kongress in Berlin will be held on 24 and 25 November 2008. The agenda is now available at www.de.ey.com/ifrs-kongress. This predominantly German‑language event covers a wide range of IFRS topics in plenary sessions and offers a number of break-out sessions. The first annual IFRS Kongress was first held in 2002. It is the foremost IFRS conference in Germany presented in association with the IASC Foundation. To participate register now at www.de.ey.com/ifrs-kongress. Rooted in the IASC Foundation Constitution

In accordance with Section 15(j) of the IASCF Constitution the Trustees shall ‘foster and review the development of educational programmes and materials that are consistent with the IASC Foundation’s objectives’.

To action the IASC Foundation’s education initiative the Trustees have appointed full-time education staff and an Education Advisory Group.
