Welcome to the IASC Foundation XBRL Resource Centre

Its purpose is to provide easy access to a number of useful XBRL and IFRS resources.

Support materials

The International Accounting Standards Committee (IASC) Foundation is pleased to provide the following support materials specifically developed to aid understanding and use of the IFRS Taxonomy 2009:

• The IFRS Taxonomy Illustrated - a simplified view of the IFRS Taxonomy in an easy-to-read, visual format that does not require knowledge of XBRL. Available in multiple languages.
• The 2009 edition of the IFRS Taxonomy Guide - guidance on how to use the IFRS Taxonomy from both an accounting and an XBRL technology perspective.
• The IFRS Taxonomy Modules Manager - an online tool that guides users through the process of navigating and customising the IFRS modules that make up the IFRS Taxonomy.  Available in multiple languages.
• External taxonomy viewers - the IFRS Taxonomy 2009 can also be viewed using a number of commercial XBRL products.

• Annual report: the financial statements from the 2007 Annual Report of the IASC Foundation prepared as an XBRL instance document using the IFRS Taxonomy 2008.
• Frequently Asked Questions: answers to the most common questions asked regarding IFRSs and XBRL.
• Fundamentals: an introduction to the basics of XBRL, including explanations of the major terms underlying XBRL concepts.
• Glossary: short definitions of terms related to the IFRS Taxonomy as well as explanations of major XBRL concepts.
• Newsletters: link to the home of XBRL Update - the newsletter of the IASC Foundation XBRL Team.
• Presentations: links to past presentations given by the IASC Foundation XBRL Team.
• Useful links: links to external projects, coordinated by other parties, where the IFRS Taxonomy is used.
