The Objectives of this Project are:
- To create structured accounting data formats to record IFRS financial
statements in order to make European comparisons of such data easier.

- To assess the viability for companies to tag their financial information
using XBRL. [IASCF Objective]
- To identify potential benefits in using IFRS-based XBRL tagged data
for statistical and other kind of analysis by CBSOs. [ECCBSO and IASCF
Joint objective]
That is, this project is an XBRL-IFRS Reduced Format "proof of concept"
Project Steps
- The format is designed and modelled in a MS
Excel spreadsheet.

Reduced Format section
- Based on the format an XBRL extension to the IFRS-GP taxonomy is developed.

Taxonomy section
- The MSExcel spreadsheet is then XBRL-enabled. The data collection
cells in the MSExcel spreadsheet are premapped against the
taxonomy.

Mapping section
- Data is entered into the spreadsheet and generated into an XBRL instance.
Data is collected from the publicly reported
financial reports of some European groups.

- Instance Data:
- Is compiled on this website and used for simple analysis,
and also
- Transferred into a MS Access database for querying.
