Main features of the ECCBSO Reduced Format Spreadsheet are:

• compressed item structure, which helps users and supports the XBRL mapping process

 

• 7 languages of element labels for all participating nationalities

 

• build-in pre-validation to assist users

 

• XBRL hidden from common users

 

• non-used cells blocked or hidden to help users not to corrupt Spreadsheet functionality

Pre-Validation

The ECCBSO Reduced Format Spreadsheet contains a pre-validation mechanism, embedded in the Spreadsheet, which helps users by highlighting possible mistakes.

There are 3 types of validation features included in the Spreadsheet:

1. Cells which can only contain positive numbers don’t allow negative entries

2. Sums that have to match are compared and cells that could be inconsistent are highlighted

3. Possible mistakes are shown on the VALIDATION Sheet of the Spreadsheet and can be looked up easily by following hyperlinks to the cells
